Offering chocolate brown egg layer fertilized eggs from our line of Copper Maran chickens and rooster. All of our chickens and roosters are very healthy and given certified organic feed and organic kitchen scrap and free range during warmer days.

Our Marans have black plumage and the majority hatch with feathered feet. Browns show up through their down feathering underneath, making them a mix of beautiful dark brown and black plumage. This breed will lay dark brown eggs and will lay about around 250 plus per year. You will truly enjoy this breed in your backyard flock and its dark eggs in your egg carton.

Copper Marans are winter hardy, perform well in many different climates and make perfect back yard birds. The females are 6 lbs. while the males are 7 lbs.

Note: not all eggs will of the same shades of brown as variations exists within the Copper Maran family as do with all hens of all breeds.

Note: for those who are looking for olive egg layers, all one has to do is have a Copper Maran rooster fertilize a blue egg layer hen. We are also selling fertilized blue eggs.

Description

Much like our other animals our chickens are raised on pasture for during the warm days and supplement and with organic feed. During colder months they are free range inside their run and outside. We typically have 2  roosters mixed with the hens to ensure high fertilization rate. For this reason our eggs are sold as “fertilized”. Hatching rate is dependent upon many variables which includes but not limited to: activity of the hens and rooster, temperature,  your incubator and humidity.
